Long Beach State and U.S. Beach coach Tyler Hildebrand joins Paper Courts

This week’s guest on Paper Courts is Long Beach State College coach Tyler Hildebrand.

Tyler Hildebrand has more accolades to his name than the much of the AVP Tour.

No player in Long Beach State history has recorded more assists than his 6,651. He became a three-time All-American and went on to become a four-time gold medalist at the Pan-American Cup. After eight (8!) knee surgeries, he retired as a player and began coaching at his alma-mater and on the beach, where he helped Casey Patterson and Jake Gibb to a win at the Manhattan Beach Open and a berth at the 2016 Olympic Games.
